 HE COMMENCED HIS SHOW OF ‘MIRACLES’ BY MOVING THE HANDS ON THE WATCH OF ONE OF A SPECIALLY SELECTED GROUP OF SCEPTICS BACKWARDS BY TWELVE MINUTES.

 

RELEVANT QUANTITATIVE SKILLS PROBLEM:

IF THE TIME ON THE WATCH WAS ‘FIVE MINUTES PAST FOUR’ ORIGINALLY, AND THE TIME WAS THEN MOVED ‘TWELVE’ MINUTES BACKWARDS, WHAT WAS THE TIME ON THE WATCH AFTER THE ‘MIRACLE’?

FIVE PAST FOUR MINUS  TWELVE MINUTE

EQUALS SEVEN MINUTES TO FOUR

WE COULD REPHRASE THIS BY ASKING:
